Being sued for copyright infringement can’t be good for your career. Unfortunately, for country singer, Gretchen Wilson, the Black Crowes have filed suit against her for just that reason. The Crowes allege that the chorus to Wilson’s single, “Work Hard, Play Harder” is an obvious rip off. Shares of server maker Sun Microsystems are up 4% today, a day before the company reports its fourth-quarter results. Sun gave investors a gloomy peek at the news earlier this month, saying that it would miss its own guidance on sales and that profit would be 25 cents to 35 cents a share.

NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander has confirmed the existence of water ice on Mars. Mission scientists celebrated the news after a sample of the ice was finally delivered to one of the lander's instruments. Phoenix's mission has also officially been extended for one month beyond its original mission, NASA announced today at a briefing at the University of Arizona at Tucson, where mission control is currently based.
